Sylvia Kim is the founder of Rebelle and Rebel For Good. For more than twenty years, she has worked across nonprofits, philanthropy, law, and social impact – raising capital, advising leaders, and helping organizations navigate change. Her professional background and body of work are shared in more detail on the Rebel For Good website.
What shaped Rebelle, however, came from Sylvia’s personal journey of transformation. As a daughter of South Korean immigrants, Sylvia learned early what it meant to carry more than was ever named. Years of advocating for others while privately navigating burnout, generational trauma, and the pressure to perform inside systems never built for women like her eventually led her to a breaking point. What emerged from that unraveling wasn’t a new identity, but a return to herself: someone who wanted to live and lead from love, not exhaustion.
That return reshaped everything. It transformed how she led, how she built partnerships, how she raised and deployed capital, and how she could use her power for good. Through Rebel For Good, Sylvia works with leaders and organizations to move capital and create impact in ways that align with their values. Through Rebelle, she is building a movement for women ready to redefine power – beginning within themselves and extending into how they lead, invest, build, and shape the world around them.
